Continuing the trend of low-budget films, yet another film called Ram Asur is out now. Let’s see how it is.
Story:
Ram (Ram Karthik) is trying hard to make a previous ornament but fails most of the time. Seeing his crazy situation, his girlfriend (Sherry Agarwal) breaks up with him. Left with no choice, Ram meets a priest called Ramachari, who in turn asks Ram to meet Suri (Abhinav Siddharth). Who is this Suri? What’s his connection with the story? To know this, you have to watch the film on the screen.
Plus Points:
The film is based on the aspect of making a precious gemstone. The stories related to this and the point of view that coincides with this aspect looks novel in the film.
Abhinav Siddharth is the best of the lot and is amazing in his role. Ram Karthik has also done well in a key role. Sherry Aggarwal is neat in her glam role. Subhaleka Sudhakar and Suman add depth to the proceedings with their presence.
Minus Points:
The film starts on a good note but later, things get confusing as the key characters are not established well. Also, the over build-up given to the hero character in the flashback looks outdated and boring.
The logic goes for a toss in many scenes in the way the hero’s twist is revealed in the story. The second half of the film is quite slow and has routine elements which kill the interest of the audience in no time.
Technical Aspects:
Even though the film is a low-budget project, it looks rich and thanks to impressive camerawork. The music is decent as three songs have been composed and shot well. Editing is below par and so was the screenplay. Coming to the director Venkatesh, his story idea is good but his execution is marred with multiple issues as the conflict point is not handled well.
Verdict:
On the whole, Ram Asur has a decent plot and starts well. But after a point, it loses its grip on the story and goes on and on making it a boring and dull watch this week.
